Volunteers from InterGlobe Hotels (IGH) team conducted a workshop at Nala Camp School on 25th January 2019, where participants were taught to make bags from old T-shirts, without sewing. Participants included women from the slum and members of Ujala SHG, who really enjoyed the exercise and enthusiastically converted their old T-shirts into beautiful bags. Volunteers also shared the harmful effects of polythene and encouraged the participants to use cloth bags. At the end, the participants pledged to stop using polythene in their day to day activities and to teach five friends to make such bags from old T-shirts. Similar training was also conducted for women and SHG members of Coolie Camp.
