Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) launched a special campaign on 23rd April 2022 to promote conservation of ground water. With this campaign, Indore is expected to be the first city in the next three years to have water recharge system in all targeted households and establishments. Religious leaders, public representatives, social workers, environmental experts, officials of various NGOs were present at the program. All the participants took oath to conserve water. As Feedback Foundation has been actively engaged as a resource agency for carrying out various IEC activities on solid waste management in 3 zones of Indore city, our team is also focusing on water conservation initiatives with the launch of the campaign.  The team is organising various awareness sessions on rainwater harvesting with the citizens of all 3 zones as part of the campaign. The process, technology and benefits of rainwater harvesting are being shared with the citizens while making them aware about the IMC’s 311 app. This app enables the citizens to get rainwater harvesting system installed at their homes.
