A 3-day training program was conducted at the Dr. R.S. Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration (ATI) in Nainital. Representatives from 25 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across Uttarakhand attended the program.
The workshop, delivered by Mr. Ajay Sinha, CEO of Feedback Foundation, covered key topics including:- Brainstorming and discussion on issues and challenges in Solid Waste Management (SWM), Analysis and categorization of expectations, Evolution of SWM-related policy frameworks and rules, Integration and mainstreaming of waste pickers for sustainable waste management and Major components for urban waste management.
On the second and third days, Feedback Foundation facilitated the participants in preparing an action plan, enabling them to implement effective SWM strategies in their respective ULBs.
