An enlightening workshop was organized in association with the Davanagere District Administration to raise awareness on solid waste management practices and water management within the Davanagere City Corporation. The event featured Mr. Ajay Sinha, CEO of Feedback Foundation, who emphasized the importance of source segregation for effective waste management in the city. He also discussed ongoing projects in Karnataka related to drinking water supply. Notably, Davanagere city ranked 4th among the top 10 metropolitan corporations in the state in the 2023 Cleanliness Survey.

The Hon. Member of Parliament, Devanagere highlighted that Davanagere is one of six cities in Karnataka that have successfully implemented the Central Government’s ‘Nanna Jeevan, Nanna Swachh Nagar scheme’. The workshop was attended by distinguished guests, including the District Collector, City Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Corporation Opposition Leader, Standing Committee Chairperson, Commissioner, and District Urban Development Cell Project Director.
