Ms. Komal Mittal, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Amritsar [MCA] and Mr. Karamjit Singh Rintu, Mayor of Amritsar have launched a campaign, wherein ward-wise cleanliness survey will be conducted and the winning wards will be given fund for development as a reward. Feedback Foundation is supporting MCA in conducting awareness workshops in various wards. The agenda is to make the citizens aware about the competition, and to sensitize them about the importance of segregation of waste at source and management of solid waste. Parameters for ward level competition are being shared in the workshops. The citizens are being motivated to segregate waste into 4 categories, Dry, wet, domestic biomedical and domestic hazardous. Process of segregation is also demonstrated. This is an initiative by MCA to achieve a good ranking in Swachh Survekshan 2021.

Feedback Foundation has been engaged by Amritsar MSW Ltd. for conducting Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities for citizens mobilization towards integrated Solid Waste Management in Amritsar City, Punjab.
