Feedback Foundation is conducting a Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) Programme to make 22 villages in Keonjhar and Sundergarh mining districts of Odisha, Open Defecation Free (ODF). The project is supported by Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC).

Under this project, the villages are being triggered and regular follow ups are being done. The community is being motivated to construct their own toilets and use them. These consolidated efforts by the Nigrani Committees and the project team along with other influential stakeholders have led to a collective behaviour change. On 8 th July 2020, the villagers of Upar Jagar village of Gandhamardhan region declared their village as ODF. The villagers then took oath to not to defecate in the open any further and to use their own toilets or share with others. ODF celebration will be conducted after the lockdown is lifted.
