Feedback Foundation [FF] has been engaged by Government of Uttarakhand for Citizen Engagement and Program Implementation Support for Uttarakhand Water Supply Program [UWSP] for Peri Urban Areas. Supported by the World Bank, this initiative targets improved water supply in 22 peri-urban zones across five districts of Uttarakhand.

FF’s key role involves educating residents about critical aspects such as 100% metered connections, piped water scheme benefits, user charge collection, greywater management, water quality testing, leakage control, and water conservation. To ensure responsiveness, Grievance Redressal Committee [GRC] meetings are held at the local levels. Moreover, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are mobilized for efficient bill distribution.

A pivotal review took place during the World Bank Supervisory Mission in Dehradun from August 5-10, 2023, assessing progress across the districts. FF’s impactful engagement and collaborative efforts are propelling the UWSP toward its objective of improving water supply access in peri- urban regions, heralding a more promising future for communities in Uttarakhand
