Feedback Foundation has been engaged by Agra Nagar Nigam for spreading awareness on Solid Waste Management [SWM] in the areas in the vicinity of Taj Mahal. The team is conducting Information, Education and Communication activities in the nearby 6 wards to help make it a ‘A Garbage Free Area’. In line with this, door to door visits is being conducted and citizens are sensitized about the importance of waste reduction and segregation at source. They are being motivated to segregate their waste into 4 categories and use four separate bins for wet, dry, domestic biomedical and domestic hazardous waste. Citizens have started giving segregated waste in appropriate bins in the collection vehicle. They are also being motivated to keep their surroundings clean.

Citizens are also being informed about the measures to be taken for prevention of spread of Corona virus like wearing masks, maintaining social distance, washing hands with soap at regular intervals, using sanitizers, avoiding social gatherings etc. It is being ensured that the citizens wear mask while giving their waste.
