Feedback Foundation is providing technical support to Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) for undertaking various field activities pertaining to sanitation and waste management in Greater Noida. The main components of this project include making a zone Open Defecation Free (ODF) & ensuring ODF Sustainability, Solid Waste Management (SWM), capacity building of all stakeholders, enhancing Greater Noida’s ranking for Swachh Survekshan, monitoring and supervision.

Under the project interventions, an orientation workshop was conducted on 21st July, 2020 for all senior, middle and ground level officers and staffs of GNIDA on SWM and its related aspects including Swachh Survekshan. Baseline Survey is being conducted and door to door mobilization of citizens is being continued for segregation of waste at source and in-situ composting at individual level. Triggering meetings are also being conducted in Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and all gated complexes are being motivated to start decentralised solid waste management facility. Bulk Waste Generators are also being sensitized about SWM Rules and their roles and responsibilities in SWM. Capacity of sanitation workers is being built. During triggering due consideration is being given to social distancing aspect and information about the precautions to be taken against COVID 19 is also being shared. Proper handwashing technique is being demonstrated.
