Shri. Premchand Agarwal, the Minister of Urban Development, Uttarakhand visited the Sanitation Park in Ward number 100, Nathuawala with Commissioner of Dehradun, Mr. Manuj Goel. The ward houses approximately 20,000 residents, and generates approx. 2.00 -2.50 tons of waste per day which is meticulously treated every day in the sanitation park. He appreciated the initiatives undertaken for effective solid waste management and encouraged the officials for their support.
Shri. Agarwal particularly emphasized the commendable level of awareness among the residents of the ward regarding the segregation of waste. Furthermore, the park’s appealing features, such as a dedicated badminton court for children, space for Yoga & Taekwondo and abundant greenery attract a steady influx of visitors on a daily basis.
