Mr. Ajay Sinha, CEO, Feedback Foundation was invited as a Resource Person, by Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) at Chandigarh to take a session on Solid Waste Management, in a one-day training programme on ‘District Environment Plans’, organized for SDMs and Nodal Officers of District Admins/ Boards/ Corporations on 2 nd August, 2023.

The concepts covered in the session include understanding waste perspectives, SWM Rules 2016 and its associated Rules & Policies, behaviour change issues, segregation of waste at source, waste reduction techniques, processing and treatment technologies, decentralized SWM options, circular economy and Swachh Survekshan.

A casestudy on ‘Nathuawala – A zero-waste ward of Dehradun Municipal Corporation’, developed with Feedback Foundation’s technical support, was also shared. Participants found the workshop highly enlightening, and expressed strong appreciation for the valuable insights provided.
