The SCIAP supported by the United Nations Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is being implemented in five pilot cities (Bhopal, Jaipur, Guntur, Vijayawada, and Mysuru). The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) has been engaged in the implementation of 3 Components: Partnerships, Knowledge Management and Capacity Building. Under this initiative, a two-day capacity-building workshop was held in HCM RIPA, Jaipur on the 14th and 15th of September 2022. The participants were the senior and mid-career officials of Jaipur Municipal Corporation. Mr. Ajay Sinha, CEO of Feedback Foundation was invited to conduct a session on ‘Integrated Decentralised SWM Model (Sanitation Park) – Nathuawala, Dehradun’. Mr. Sinha addressed the participants through a participative approach focusing on behavior change communication and experiential learning. The importance and process of the Integrated Decentralized Solid Waste Management [IDSWM] model was explained focussing on the success of the IDSWM project at Nathuawala. The session was very enlightening for all the participants in the workshop.
