Feedback Foundation conducted a mass clean-up drive at Sun Temple in Konark, on 30th May 2020 with active participation of Self-Help Group (SHG) members and natural leaders. This was part of the intervention under Godrej supported CSR project for ‘Developing a pilot Integrated Decentralized Solid Waste Management Model’ in Konark Notified Area Council (NAC). Several awareness programmes are being carried out at Konark NAC to create awareness about Solid Waste Management (SWM) and to mobilize the community to achieve segregation of waste at source. The citizens have started segregation of waste at source into four categories viz. dry, wet, domestic biomedical and domestic hazardous. Focus is also on cleaning all garbage vulnerable points and regular clean-up drives are being conducted in all the wards.
