On the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on 2^nd October, 2020 village Chhoti Milakpur in Zone-1 of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) was declared as Open Defecation Free (ODF) in the presence of Natural leaders and community members.  GNIDA officials were also present during the celebration.  Nigrani Samiti members shared about the journey from ‘OD to ODF’. They shared that the residents of the village were made aware about how a cleaner and greener environment will ensure their better livelihood. Triggering was done by Feedback Foundation team and regular follow-up was ensured along with nigrani samiti members. Participation of citizens played a crucial role in achieving this feat.  All the participants took oath to sustain their village as ODF.

Feedback Foundation is providing technical support to GNIDA for undertaking various field activities pertaining to sanitation and waste management in Greater Noida. The main components of this project include making a zone Open Defecation Free (ODF) & ensuring ODF Sustainability, Solid Waste Management (SWM), Capacity Building of all stakeholders, enhancing Greater Noida’s ranking for Swachh Survekshan, monitoring and supervision.
