In collaboration with the Government of Karnataka and The World Bank Group, Feedback Foundation is working towards institutionalising sustainable 24×7 water supply in 5 districts of rural Karnataka. A kickoff meeting took place on 21st May 2025, which started with a diya lighting ceremony. The dignitaries highlighted the issues and gaps in the water supply in rural Karnataka. Feedback Foundation CEO introduced the project, and the programme concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony of officials to ensure commitment to the project. The project aims to achieve four key objectives: Enhance capacities of state, district, and GP-level functionaries on community approaches to O&M of rural water supply schemes in Karnataka; create a pool of champions trained and skilled in facilitating implementers at GP/village level for sustainable 24×7 water supply; demonstrate a model for 24×7 water supply communities across 5 districts to serve as a basis for policy shifts; and extend handholding support to the trained pool of champions at the district, taluka, and GP level.
