Indore Municipal Corporation launched its ‘No Thu Thu’ campaign to curb spitting in public. The campaign was started at the Mhow Naka Chouraha and is an attempt to raise awareness among the city folks to stop spitting gutkha and pan masala which results in red spots across the city. Under this campaign, Feedback Foundation [FF] team has taken several steps to change the behavior of people. Information about the risks of spitting in public places was shared through awareness activities, posters, advertisements, and educational materials. FF team also encouraged community members to take responsibility for their own health and also of others, by avoiding spitting in public spaces. The positive behavior of individuals who do not spit in public places was highlighted to make it a point of pride for communities and to encourage others to adopt the same behavior. This initiative aims to enhance hygiene practices and to improve overall public health by lowering the spread of illnesses, resulting in a cleaner and healthier Indore.
