Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan celebrations at Nala Camp School were full of fun and gaiety. Organized by members of the development committee and teachers, the program began with flag hoisting ceremony by the Pradhan of the Camp who shared some inspiring words followed by singing of the National Anthem. Children dressed up in tri-colour theme and also enthusiastically took part in face painting activity and group performances. They also enjoyed flying kites together. To mark Raksha Bandhan celebrations which coincided with I-Day this year, all girls in the school tied ‘rakhis’ to the boys who in turn promised to protect them always. The celebrations culminated with distribution of sweets to everyone. It’s great to see the community become self-sufficient and organize such events with the help of Feedback Foundation’s intervention.
