A mass mobilization was conducted on 31st October, 2020 at Niladri Beach Park in the presence of Collector, Executive Officer, Puri Municipality, Chief District Medical Officer, Puri Govt. Hospital, chemists, druggists and other biomedical waste producers. FF Facilitator sensitized the participants about the importance of segregation of waste and triggered them to segregate waste into 4 categories and to keep separate bins for each category, viz. green bin for wet/biodegradable waste, blue bin for dry/recyclable waste, red bin for bio-medical waste and black bin for hazardous waste. The process of segregation was also demonstrated. Puri Municipality has decided to set up a Biomedical waste treatment plant in Puri and the participants were informed about the initiative. More than 300 participants were present during triggering.

Feedback Foundation is providing mass mobilization support for Covid 19 preparedness and technical and supportive supervision support to the Puri Municipality in management of solid waste aligned with SWM Rules 16 and its associated Rules.
