Directorate of Urban Local Bodies [DULB] Haryana, has entrusted Feedback Foundation [FF] with the task of facilitating training and orientation programs on Solid Waste Management compliance as well the compliance of orders of Hon’ble National Green Tribunal [NGT] in the State of Haryana. In line with this, FF conducted a State Level Workshop in Panchkula on 5th September, 2020, which is followed by 20 workshops for 87 Urban Local Bodies. So far 8 district level workshops have been conducted in Gurugram, Palwal, Karnal, Faridabad, Fatehabad, Nuh, Rohtak and Ambala districts during the period 10^th – 19^th September, 2020.

The objective of these workshops is to sensitize the Urban Local Bodies [ULBs] for effective management of solid waste generated daily, and compliance of the orders of Hon’ble NGT. The concepts covered as part of these workshops include understanding waste perspectives, SWM Rules 2016 and its associated Rules & Policies, understanding expectations and analysis, behaviour change issues, segregation of waste at source, waste reduction techniques, processing and treatment technologies, decentralized SWM options, circular economy,  Swachh Survekshan 2021 and Action Planning: An exercise to create an ULB/entity as a self-sustaining model.
