Feedback Foundation (FF) team, in collaboration with the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), opened Thaila Banks in 18 Societies and 2 Sectors of Zone 1, as part of the waste reduction initiative, by providing alternatives to single-use plastic [SUP] bags. The inauguration of the Thaila Banks was attended by esteemed GNIDA officials who played a pivotal role in making this initiative a success.

FF team made a concerted effort to encourage residents to ‘say no to plastic bags’ and adopt alternative options such as cloth bags and paper bags. The team also conducted a comprehensive awareness workshop to educate the residents about the dangers of plastic usage and the benefits of using environment friendly alternatives. During the workshop, FF team also organized a transect walk for the GNIDA officials to showcase the work being done by the societies. The walk was designed to give the GNIDA officials a firsthand look at the efforts being made to promote sustainable waste management practices and improve the overall quality of life in the community. The officers were impressed with the work being done by the society and praised the efforts of FF team in promoting sustainability and waste management practices.
