A 5-day training on Community Approaches to Sanitation (CAS) was facilitated by Feedback Foundation (FF) from 28th August – 1st September, 2018 at Bodh Gaya, Bihar. This workshop was organized by Department of Rural Development, Lohiya Swachh Bihar Abhiyan, Government of Bihar and was attended by 61 participants selected from different districts of Bihar. After this training all the participants went for an intensive 8 day field based training on Community Immersion Module (CIM) from 2nd – 9th September, 2018, which was conducted in 6 different districts of Bihar under the leadership of FF Regional Divisional Coordinators posted in those districts. CIM is a community engagement strategy to facilitate a Gram Panchayat to attain Open Defecation Free (ODF) status within a short span of time. The CIM helps in ensuring sustainability of changed behavior by establishing strong connection and cohesion with and within the community at large. Following the ToT and CIM training, the participants were graded, and then based on their performance grading they were categorized into State Resource Persons (SRP), District Resource Persons (DRP) and Specialist Facilitators for Scaling up Implementation of Lohiya Swachh Bihar Abhiyan (LSBA) in Bihar.
